Getting ahead of the game.
We started looking at avionics two years ago at Oshkosh. We already have some parts, others are currently on the list. BOLD parts we have.
Engine:
- Lycoming IO360 Mattituck
- Plasma III ignition
- Slick Magneto Model 4371
- Silver Bullet Prop
Avionics: The goal is IFR capable, but no intent in extended IFR flight. We have a low thin cloud cover several months each winter around here.
- Advanced Flight Systems (AFS) 6600 panel

- Garmin G5 OR Dynon D30 OR uAvionix AV-30-E OR Horis
- Dynon remote Com head

- PS engineering AFS integrated 4 place audio panel

- Dynon Autopilot remote head

- Bendix Escort II is a NAV/Com and gets us IFR without needing to go Garmin at all.
We are on the fence still for the AFS ACM system control module, or traditional circuit breakers.
Back on the move
A year ago a friend stopped by to help us get started on the final shaping process.
The first primer coat looks better than expected, but there are places around the fuel sumps that need more touch-up.
